Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - After a five-year dry spell, the SPD party and parliamentary group leader Andreas Stoch wants to lead his party back into government.

After the state elections on March 14th, Stoch would like to start a new edition of Green-Red to replace the current green-black coalition.

"If it is not enough for green-red, a traffic light coalition would be a realistic option," said Stoch of the dpa in Stuttgart.

"I see greater intersections with a traffic light than with green-black."

Although the SPD does not rule out a German coalition with the CDU and FDP, such an alliance is hardly enforceable among the SPD base.

At the moment, the polls do not give a coalition of the Greens and the SPD, the two triple constellations would probably be possible.

According to surveys, the SPD is threatened with a very bad result.

Most recently, the comrades were at 10 percent.

Stoch worries that the transformation of the automotive industry in Baden-Württemberg could cost numerous jobs.

The change process towards environmentally friendly drives must be organized jointly by the state and companies, demanded the SPD country chief.

"I want the cars and machines of the future to be built in Baden-Württemberg too."

In education policy, early childhood education and the equipment of schools should slide up in the prioritization, demanded the former minister of education.

"I see a government with the Greens as an opportunity to implement these goals."
