The former Prime Minister, who nourishes presidential ambitions […] undertook acts of a subversive nature tending to discredit the actions of the authorities of the Transition.
In his indictment, Mamoudou Kassogue accuses
Boubou Cissé
of having organized secret meetings, especially at his home, with his accomplices.
Together, they would have mobilized more than 200 million CFA francs, to finance the protest actions of associations and unions.
Sékou Traoré, the secretary general of the presidency is said to have carried out acts of sabotage.
He would have consulted in Ségou, Lassina Kane, a powerful marabout and introduced the meat of sacrifices to the Palace.
Sékou Traoré is also suspected of having "
restricted on his own initiative the meetings of the Presidency […] setting himself up as an obstacle
" between her and certain social layers.

"
These accusations are laughable
," smiles Maître Marcel Ceccaldi, lawyer for Boubou Cissé.
Mamoudou Kassogue's pen is at the service of political action
”.
The lawyer adds that contrary to what the public prosecutor says, Boubou Cissé remains perfectly reachable.
“
He was never summoned, it's not the same.
Mr. Boubou Cissé is in Mali, he never intended to leave the country, because he always had the will to respond to the fanciful accusations which are brought against him
”.
Fears for press freedom
"
As for Youssouf Mohamed Bathily," says Ras Bath, "he is entrusted with the role of instigating public opinion against the authorities of the Transition
".
The Public Prosecutor accuses him of having criticized "
openly the authorities of the Transition
", in particular about
the insecurity in Farabougou
, their management of the health crisis or the appointment of military governors.
In his press release Thursday, Mamoudou Kassogue also evokes "
the possibility of links between the suspects and certain associations, organizations and influential figures in the media world
".
A position that provoked the indignation of Malian journalists.
The umbrella organizations of the press denounce this morning an attempt at intimidation.
“
Clearly, this means that we must prepare to be worried,
” explains Bandiougou Dante, president of the Union of Free Radios and Televisions of Mali (URTEL).
