Cologne (dpa / lnw) - NRW Prime Minister Armin Laschet (CDU) visited offers for homeless people in Cologne on New Year's Eve.

«We all say: stay at home - and by that we mean not to have big parties.

But for many people this home doesn't exist, they live on the street and have another particularly difficult time in these weeks, ”said Laschet afterwards.

He praised the commitment of the many volunteers in helping the homeless.

They made sure that homeless people not only find a warm place to sleep, but that someone also listens to them and that there is a place “where you can feel warmth”.
