A student at Maryam Bint Sultan School, in Al Ain, created a smart way to measure the mental health of people, especially students, to find out the causes of their low level of productivity, whether in educational attainment or business, and she called it the "mental health measure."

The student Shamma Al-Kaabi explained, to “Emirates Today,” the application of the psychological measurement method, whereby every member of the community can enter the “psychological scale” website, and answer a set of questions within six criteria that measure mental health, and five criteria that set results and solutions, Pointing out that this method aims to raise the mental health status of individuals by knowing the causes of their psychological condition, and providing solutions to them, which increases their productivity.

She added that she was inspired by the idea of the project from the low levels of a number of students in the school, which prompted her to think of a smart way that she can help them without being embarrassed for standing as guilty in front of the academic advisor, in addition to that the mental health measure prompts students to develop their creative skills, through innovative questions. Included in the scale.

The student, with her project, which took about three months to complete, participated in the Science, Technology and Innovation Festival competition organized by the Ministry of Education, recently, in the «Festival Arena - Dubai».

She said that the jury praised the project and considered it a new idea that no student had ever encountered before.

Al-Kaabi stated that she intends to make amendments to her project, by renewing the questions, to suit the changes in life, especially in light of the Corona pandemic.
