The residents of Reims are preparing to experience an advanced curfew at 6 p.m. following government announcements.

Aware of the health situation of the Grand Est, they accept this new restriction but deplore that their free time is thus reduced.

It's the bad surprise of January 1st.

The curfew advanced to 6 p.m., mentioned by the Minister of Health Olivier Véran at the beginning of the week, comes into force on Saturday in 15 departments.

Marne is one of those concerned and for the inhabitants of Reims, this decision, which they felt to arrive for a few days because of the high number of contaminations with the coronavirus in the Grand Est region, is greeted with resignation and philosophy.

Olivier works at the hospital with Covid patients.

With a curfew at 6 p.m. he has to put a cross on his decompression bubble.

"It will not leave a lot of time for leisure. I run a lot, but on the one hand I come home late and on the other hand they will prevent me from thinking of anything other than the disease", he laments , fatalistic.

This Friday evening, the ride authorized until 8 p.m. for the last time in the cobbled streets of the city center is precious.

Patricia, who accompanies him, confirms it: "We take advantage of it. We have the impression of not seeing the end of the tunnel. It still seems very far."

David, he accepts these new restrictions in the name of the fight against the virus and is already thinking about how he will organize himself.

"We will have to do the shopping only on weekends, Saturdays or Sundays perhaps because during the week that will not be possible. Because when we are teleworking we cannot go out in the end", an unpleasant observation but to which he intends to resolve.
