A 67-year-old man died this Friday in Valencia as a result of a

heart attack that was caused, apparently, by the noise of a firecracker

thrown by two people who were nearby.

As reported by Cadena Ser, the events took

place in Monseñor Óscar Romero Square

, in the Valencian neighborhood of San Marcelino, when the victim was on the terrace of a bar in the company of another person.

The man has suffered a cardiac arrest after a large firecracker exploded next to him.

Although the health services have tried to revive the victim, he has finally passed away.

The National Police has taken over the investigation and is awaiting the results of the autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

In any case,

those responsible for launching the firecracker have been identified

by the agents.
