Würzburg (dpa / lby) - The Würzburger Kickers want to sign the Czech midfielder Martin Hasek.

Trainer Bernhard Trares described the 25-year-old in the “Main-Post” (Thursday edition) as “flexible in use” and “dangerous for goals”.

Hasek was most recently under contract with the traditional club Sparta Prague, but was then without a club.

He is already training with the Kickers, wrote the "Main-Post" before the start of the Würzburg football year on Saturday (1 p.m.) against Karlsruher SC.

Even if Hasek had not been in team training since March, he was fit, Trares said.

In the event of an agreement, the Czech could be an option for the bottom of the table in the 2nd Bundesliga for the duel against KSC.

Rolf Feltscher (Los Angeles Galaxy) and Stefan Maierhofer (Admira Wacker), who were signed up during the mini winter break, are “both probably not yet eligible to play on Saturday”, according to a game preview from the bottom group.

The transfer window opens exactly this Saturday.

"January is a really important month, we have to start winning games sometime," said Trares.

With only four points from twelve games, the Kickers are already seven points behind relegation place 16.
