According to the Chinese government website, Ms. Zhang from Gansu reported through the State Council’s "Internet + Supervision" platform that Wuwei Vocational College has not refunded the accommodation fees during the epidemic to students who have not returned to school.

After receiving Ms. Zhang’s message, the State Affairs Office’s inspection office transferred it to the Gansu Provincial Government.

  After receiving the clues from the inspection office of the State Council, the Gansu Provincial Government quickly urged the Wuwei City Government and the Provincial Department of Education to organize the inspection.

After verification, the public reported that the situation is true.

In response to this, Wuwei Vocational College has implemented reforms.

  As of November 16, 2020, Wuwei Vocational College has refunded all the accommodation fees totaling 505,900 yuan to 2,048 students who did not return to school during the spring semester, and criticized and educates department heads, head teachers, and counselors who are slow in the refund work .

On this basis, the Wuwei Municipal Government has taken analogy from one another to review and reform the student accommodation fee refunds during the epidemic period in the city to ensure that the refunds are in place.

As of December 29, 2020, various schools at the city and county levels in Wuwei City have refunded a total of RMB 2,226,100 for accommodation for 31,803 students during the epidemic.
