In his opinion, the most important thing was that "such concepts as compassion and sympathy, care and support returned to life, and they acquired their original meaning, which is very important for every person."
Medvedev called the New Year "a special holiday, the most long-awaited and most joyful."
He also wished everyone good health, prosperity and happiness.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, congratulating citizens on the new year 2021, said that the outgoing year contained the burden of several years and was difficult, but the country passed it with dignity.
