If you want to serve more than a boiled egg and a bake-off bread during breakfast at Christmas, you should consider serving this filled croissant.

Good idea, because: you make an impression with it and it is easy to make.

  • Preparation time: 10 minutes

  • Type of meal: breakfast

  • Number of people: four

Croissants have a luxurious look of their own, but if you fill them generously with cream cheese, smoked salmon and salad, they are quite a sight to see.

Don't like smoked salmon?

Then you can also use Spanish ham.

What you need for four people:

  • 200 grams smoked salmon *

  • 4 eggs

  • 4 croissants

  • 200 grams of herb cream cheese

  • 50 grams of arugula

* Vegetarian option: use vegetarian cold cuts or thin slices of boiled beet instead of the smoked salmon.

It doesn't take much time to make these filled croissants.

  • Boil the eggs softly for about six minutes.

Scare them in cold water, peel and cut into slices.

  • Carefully cut the croissants in half and generously spread the bottom halves with herb cream cheese.
