Berlin (dpa / bb) - Two garbage collectors from the Berlin City Cleaning Service (BSR) were hit by a car in Berlin-Lichterfelde and some were seriously injured.
The driver of the car wanted to overtake a garbage truck from behind in Hildburghauser Strasse on Wednesday afternoon, as the police announced on Thursday.
The car caught the two men who were just about to cross the street with several garbage cans.
As a result of the collision, the men fell on the road.
One of the two men, a 35-year-old, suffered injuries all over his body and was hospitalized for inpatient treatment.
The other, a 38-year-old, was injured in the leg and treated on an outpatient basis.
