London (AP) - World number one Michael van Gerwen and former Welsh rugby professional Gerwyn Price are favorites in the big final weekend at the Darts World Cup in London.

On New Years (1 p.m. and 7 p.m. / Sport1 and DAZN) the four quarter-finals are on the program.

The Dutchman van Gerwen has shone in his three games so far and is considered to be the best in form of all professionals.

The price, which has recently improved significantly, meets Northern Irishman Daryl Gurney.

To replace “Mighty Mike” as number one after seven years, muscleman Price has to win the tournament.

In the third quarter-finals, Scotland's ex-world champion Gary Anderson will face the Dutch “eggplant king” Dirk van Duijvenbode.

Krzysztof Ratajski, who defeated the German Gabriel Clemens 4: 3 in a thrilling game, meets the Englishman Stephen Bunting.

The semi-finals will take place on January 2nd in the evening before the final will take place the next day.
