Berlin (dpa) - At the time of the corona pandemic, Elton John is pleased that he can continue to attend the Alcoholics Anonymous meetings online.
"I'm a dry alcoholic and take part in the meetings every Sunday from home," said the British pop star in the first episode of the new podcast of British Prince Harry (36) and his wife, Duchess Meghan (39).
The episode, which is titled "Holiday Special", was released on Tuesday (local time).
He has come to appreciate the Zoom video conferencing platform this year, said John.
Regarding Alcoholics Anonymous, he said: "I can connect with my friends whom I have known from the program for over 30 years."
That was "a lifesaver" for him this year.

At the end of July, the 73-year-old celebrated his 30-year drought.
On Instagram, he shared pictures of greeting cards, a cake and an Alcoholics Anonymous medal that he received on the day.
"I am really a blessed man," he wrote.
"If I hadn't finally taken the big step to ask for help 30 years ago, I'd be dead today."
