6 classes are allowed to participate in the New Year's Eve celebrations in Ras Al Khaimah

The General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police announced the allocation of the New Year's celebration on Al Marjan Island to six categories: hotel guests, visitors of surrounding restaurants, party ticket holders, residents of Al Hamra Village and Al Marjan Island, and members of work teams, in order to preserve public health.

She explained to "Emirates Today" that traffic will be directed to hotel guests and ticket holders coming from Ras Al Khaimah and other emirates to the event site using Sheikh Muhammad Bin Salem Al Qasimi Street by passing through the designated crossing point after ENOC station using the right lane on the road. While the entry of permit holders in Al-Hamra Village and Al-Marjan Island will be determined to the celebration venue via Al-Shuhada Street.

She added that the road closures will start at noon today, as traffic will be closed through Sheikh Muhammad bin Salem Al Qasimi Street to Al Marjan Island at Al Hamra Roundabout, starting from 2 pm, and traffic will be closed for vehicles coming from Umm Al Quwain via Al Ittihad Street, starting from Two o'clock in the afternoon, in addition to the closure of traffic to the emirate of Umm Al-Quwain via Sheikh Muhammad bin Salem Al-Qasimi Street, starting at two in the afternoon.

She indicated that vehicles heading from Ras Al Khaimah will be directed to other emirates via Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Emirates Street, and any change in traffic and lanes will be announced through the instructions of Ras Al Khaimah Police officers present at the place.

For its part, the Traffic and Patrols Department of Umm Al Quwain Police indicated that all users of Al Ittihad Road wishing to go to attend the celebrations that will be held in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah through the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain this afternoon must abide by the use of alternative roads, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street and Emirates Street, where The road will be closed on Al Ittihad Street from Umm Al Tha`oub Roundabout, as well as Exit 110 on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road from 12:00 pm, explaining that everyone must adhere to the instructions in order to preserve public safety.
