Halle (dpa) - The handball players of SV Union Halle-Neustadt have fought an important point in the fight against relegation.

The promoted team parted from fourth HSG Blomberg 23:23 (9: 9) at home on Wednesday and consolidated his tenth place in the Bundesliga.

The outstanding Sophie Lütke (8/1) saved the hosts with a converted seven meter in the final second, the well-deserved draw.

In addition to Lütke, especially Helena Mikkelsen (5) set accents on the offensive.

Nele Franz (7/5) and Laura Rüffieux (4) scored the most goals for Blomberg.

Both teams acted very disciplined in defense and fought a balanced duel.

In the middle of the second half, however, Halle was able to hurry from 14:14 (43rd) to 19:16 (48th).

However, the hosts gave up the narrow lead by making a few minor mistakes and missing clear chances.

In the last minute, the guests moved in front, before Lütke nervously shared the points.
