The leaders of the European Union officially signed the text of the post-Brexit agreement, a text that will define relations between the United Kingdom and Europe, as of January 1.

Shortly after, these famous documents will leave Brussels towards London, via a Royal Air Force plane.

Because it is then up to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to affix his signature.

This

free trade agreement

, concluded

in extremis on Christmas Eve

, will come into force on January 1, midnight, Paris time.

However, the divorce proceedings are not yet complete.

This is an interim agreement.

The European Parliament has yet to ratify the text.

It will probably be done at the end of February.
