Administrators and teachers confirmed that they were surprised, during the presentation of the lessons to students from a distance, with insults, promises, and blatant expressions of rebuke issued by some mothers, to force their children to follow what the teacher says, and focus on the explanation, after they noticed their distraction.
They told «Emirates Today», that this kind of surprises were part of the morning lessons, during the past semester.
And they did not find a way to address it, so that they could continue explaining the lesson to the other students, other than asking the student to turn off the microphone, pointing out that they sent more than one remark to the students and their families about this type of behavior, and they also asked mothers to be patient with their children, and wait for the class to end to address the problem To avoid disturbing the other students, "except that the behavior was almost always repeated."
A psychosocial specialist stated that mothers have gone through social, psychological and professional pressures during the last period due to general health conditions.
He added that distance education imposed new burdens on them, in addition to their domestic tasks, as they now have to follow their children moment by moment, so that the lessons are not lost on them, in addition to taking care of their other affairs.
He advised them to face the pressures with patience and determination, and to get rid of the pressures in a proper way, because loud voices do not solve problems, but rather increase their complexity.
In detail, a teacher in a private school confirmed that he was surprised by a sharp sound issued by one of the microphones, during the distance education class, before the end of the last semester, including a list of insults, directed by the mother of one of the students to her son, to force him to focus in the class.
He said that he was surprised, on a previous time, of the same mother asking her son to finish eating, so that she could lift the dishes.
A teacher, Alia Muhammad, reported that one of the mothers boycotted the class, asking her son to open the door of the house, because someone rang the bell.
Another teacher (Huda A.A.) stated that she was accustomed to this type of behavior, pointing out that one of the parents ordered his son to turn off the computer, after he noticed that he was not focusing on the class.
On the other hand, mothers of "remote" students asserted that their domestic tasks doubled, after they were assigned the burden of monitoring their children during the distance education classes, and that they felt anxious and tense during the class, due to their inability to perform their homework on time.

But she has become bearing new hard burdens, doubling her previous roles, and preventing her from doing her homework, pointing out that her role is no longer limited to education, but extended to be a supervisor of the teaching process because of the teacher or teacher’s preoccupation with teaching two groups of students simultaneously, in the classroom, And from a distance, and the distraction of the student's attention in the lessons.
She explained that distance education caused her great nervous pressure, because she has children in different stages of education, who receive their lessons at the same time, while she does not have time to cook and clean the house, due to following up on her children's school duties, during and after lessons.
A guardian of three students, Amal Mahdawi, said that she discussed with her friends ways to deal with children during distance education, confirming the psychological breakdown of some of them because they were unable to control their children during the class, and the teacher did not respond to their inquiries, pointing out that distance education imposed additional pressure on her. And preventing her from performing her family duties as before.

The social worker, Yaqoub Al-Hammadi, confirmed that one of the most important problems of "distance education" is the presence of more than one student in one home, as this increases the difficulty of the mother's follow-up to her children, especially if they are studying at the primary stage.
He pointed out to dealing with repeated situations, as daily voices and rebukes directed at students were heard from behind electronic devices, because of the mother's stress about the difficulty of educating her children, and their failure to respond to her request to follow up and actively participate in the class, and to prove their presence in the classroom.
He pointed out that the behavior of children needs a long time to correct it, and often the behavior of children is affected by their fathers and peers, but the loudness of voices does not solve the problems, and may leave negative effects on the psyche of the student, stressing the need to follow a calm approach, understanding, persuasion, friendliness, respect and encouragement, to reap better and faster results.
The psychologist, Dr.Muhammad Ahmed, said that everyone is undergoing social, psychological and professional pressures during the current period, but mothers suffer more than everyone, and the suffering of each one differs according to her personality, skills, knowledge and the mechanism of dealing with her children, pointing out that the burden of teaching children and following up on their daily educational affairs And providing comfort for them, causes anxiety and stress for mothers.
He pointed out that the conditions of the epidemic have changed the lifestyle of many mothers, and some of them have given birth to psychological pressures due to their lack of life skills.
He added that some of them resort to expressing their dissatisfaction with the educational process by shouting at the son, or scolding him in front of his colleagues, while receiving education from a distance, which affects his personality in the future, explaining that “distance education is a new tool in the hands of mothers and fathers, and it must be dealt with with all its advantages and disadvantages.
Therefore, possessing personal skills to face psychological pressure helps the guardian to successfully overcome this stage, and helps him to perform his role to the fullest. ”
