Dan Eliasson, director general of the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), flew to the Canary Islands five days before Christmas, something that Expressen revealed on Wednesday.

According to Mats Knutsson, the information is very remarkable, not least as Sweden is at a very critical stage of the corona pandemic with a high spread of infection and with healthcare under enormous strain.

- In that situation, the highest responsible for the country's highest crisis authority chooses to go on holiday, says Mats Knutson and adds:

- Dan Eliasson's actions raise questions and will in all probability cause criticism.
