"Mass vaccination is the ultimate prospect of seeing our country emerge from the context of a health crisis deleterious for the economy," said the two deputies in a letter dated Wednesday, addressed to the president of the information mission on management of the Covid-19 epidemic, LREM deputy Julien Borowczyk.
However, "France now vaccinates 10,000 times slower than England, quadrupling the vaccination times due to a pre-vaccination consultation, associated with a withdrawal period of 4 days which unnecessarily complicates and lengthens the campaign vaccine ", underline the two elected officials.
France "cannot be one of the last countries to be vaccinated. Yet it is this perspective that is emerging today and which is reminiscent of the failure of + testing, tracing, isolating + whose consequences economic and social are being felt hard ", they judge.
"In these circumstances, we ask you to convene the fact-finding mission to hear the Minister of Solidarity and Health on the vaccination strategy adopted by France", conclude Mr. Abad and Mr. Ciotti, rapporteur of the mission. of information.
Politicians of all stripes criticized Wednesday the slowness of the vaccination campaign in France, a strategy however assumed by the government which wants to take the time for "education" in a country where mistrust of vaccines is strong.
