With his planetary hits he is the most famous French DJ in the world: At 53, David Guetta told AFP that there is "no other way out" than the vaccine to put an end to the pandemic of Covid-19 and return to the public in 2021.

Visiting Paris for the recording of his charity concert in front of the Louvre pyramid, the third of its kind after those in New York and Miami, which will be broadcast in livestream on New Years Eve, David Guetta looks back on a year 2020 "very lasts "for the entertainment world.

"I am one of the privileged because I have money aside so I didn't have to stress about how I'm going to eat next month but in our industry, that's not the case at all the world and it's very hard for all the people who do my job or who have a job related to the entertainment world, ”he explains.

Nightclubs closed since March, cancellation of festivals and concerts ... For anyone who has worked with the big names of the global urban scene, ranging from the Black Eyed Peas to Rihanna or more recently with the Australian singer Sia, the only way to get out of the doldrums is to get vaccinated.

"I know that there are a lot of people who don't want to do it (the vaccine, editor's note) but I don't see any other solution. There is no other way out and I will do it, and I hope that by next summer we can party like before. Because if nightclubs and concert halls do not reopen this summer, it is the death of all artists " , he estimates, saying to feel the lack of the "scene and the public".

According to a poll published on Tuesday, only 4 in 10 French people want to be vaccinated against Covid-19, making the country of Louis Pasteur the "world champion" of refractory countries.

Elected in 2020, and for the second time in his career, best DJ in the world by internet users of the magazine DJ Mag, he sees in this title the "recognition" that his music "connects" with the younger generation.

"After more than thirty years of career, it does something to me to tell myself that I am still here and that I am still being listened to as much," he confides.
