Lübeck (dpa / lno) - While unloading a ship at the Skandinavienkai in Lübeck-Travemünde, a tractor with dangerous goods containers crashed on Wednesday.

The fire brigade said the vehicle fell one deck lower when driving down a ramp.

The trailer with a container loaded with formic acid got stuck on the so-called weather deck in an unstable position - but did not crash.

Fortunately, this meant that he did not bury the tractor, the Lübeck fire brigade said.

The driver was only slightly injured in the accident.

The fire brigade was on site at noon with a large number of over 80 emergency services.

According to the information, three truck-mounted cranes were on site to secure the vehicle and prepare for the rescue.

Due to the unstable position of the trailer, extreme caution was required in order not to damage the tank container loaded with 28 tons of formic acid.

According to initial information, a second tank container on the trailer is empty.
