Burg (dpa / sa) - There were weapons and ammunition parts in the four suspicious suitcases that were in a forest near Burg.
A dangerous situation could be ruled out, as the police announced on Tuesday evening.
One suitcase had the label "Toxic" on it.
Specialists from the ordnance disposal service opened the luggage.
An employee of the Office for Monument and Soil Protection had informed the police on Monday about the suspicious find.
The location had been cordoned off.
A preliminary investigation has been initiated.
