Retiring municipal director critical of the mass politicians

- It is too much detail control.

The politicians must decide what we should do and we officials how it should be done, says Gustaf Olsson who believes that the mass politicians have had a hard time distinguishing between this.

What made the work as municipal director in Skara difficult, says Gustaf Olsson, is that the politicians then did not want to talk about this - where the line goes.

- It happens in all municipalities that you make mistakes in both directions.

But then you have to be able to have a dialogue about it, says Gustaf Olsson.

"Sad political tone"

The municipal councilor in Skara, Ylva Pettersson (M), agrees that the dialogue between politicians and officials has worked poorly.

- We have a sad political tone in the conversation between the parties and I think it has spread to the relationship between politicians and officials, says Ylva Pettersson (M) self-critical to SVT Nyheter Väst.
