A real Christmas miracle.

On the morning of Friday, December 25, south of San Francisco (United States), a motorist fell from a 35-meter high cliff, reports

Ouest-France

.

Despite the violence of the shock, the driver was conscious when help arrived.

"She was able to speak to rescuers to tell them her areas of pain, and specify the circumstances of the accident," said firefighter spokesman Jonathan Lambert.

After a glide of several tens of meters, the vehicle crashed upside down on the beach below the cliff.

Extracted from the vehicle then helicopter

As the area was difficult to access, San Francisco firefighters had to be assisted by a reconnaissance plane, a ground vehicle and a helicopter.

Rescuers managed to reach the beach using a rope ladder.

It is not known why the car fell off the cliff.

However, according to the San Francisco Fire Department, the motorist may have fallen asleep while driving.

The victim was extricated from his car and then helicoptered to the nearest hospital.

The driver was alone in the vehicle.
