American Mikaela Shiffrin set the fastest time in the first round of the World Cup slalom in Semmering (Austria) on Tuesday, just two hundredths of a second ahead of Swiss Michelle Gisin.

The day after the giant's cancellation because of the wind, the Slovakian Petra Vlhova, leader of the general and winner of the last five World Cup slaloms, missed her first round and found herself 6th at 89 / 100th.

The Austrians Katharina Liensberger and Katharina Truppe are 3rd and 4th at 32 / 100th and 53 / 100th after the passage of the 30 best skiers and before the second round scheduled for the night at 6.30pm.
