The Dubai Health Authority stated that the first phase of the vaccination campaign with the "Pfizer" vaccine against "Covid-19" will end next March, while the second stage, which will include all segments of society, begins in the emirate in early April.

She pointed out that the campaign targeted in the first phase, which ends next March, the vaccination of priority groups of citizens and residents, in categories that include senior citizens, elderly residents, people with chronic diseases, members of the first line of defense, and vital jobs, while the second phase begins. She stated that the authority aims to achieve societal immunity, by covering at least 70% of the emirate’s population, adding that the vaccine is safe and effective, and it is the means to prevent “Covid-19”, asking all groups of society, especially the priority ones, to take the initiative to take the vaccine.

The authority had set conditions for employees who would receive the vaccine within the first phase, including that they be from the specified groups, and that they should not be immunologically ill, or had been previously infected with the Corona virus during the last three months, or had previously been vaccinated against “Covid-19” And they should not be remote employees.

She explained that the vaccination, which will be given in two doses, does not incur any financial cost, nor is it mandatory.

Last week, Dubai Health began the vaccination campaign with the "Pfizer" vaccine against "Covid-19", in coordination with the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai, and the Control and Control Center to combat the Corona virus.

The authority has prepared a detailed plan for vaccination steps and mechanisms, and the target groups from the first stage.
