The'hero' who risked his life in an animal shelter after a large fire is receiving praise.

On the 27th local time, foreign media such as CNN reported that a big fire recently broke out at an animal shelter in Atlanta, Georgia, but all of the animals inside were rescued.

At Atlanta's Southside Animal Shelter on the 18th, a fire started in an employee's kitchen spread throughout the building.

Before the fire grew, all employees were evacuated and there was no human injury, but dozens of animals that could not be brought out were left in the building.

When the firefighters weren't sure what to do with the fierce flames, a man jumped into the building with his naked body overtaking the crowd.

After a while, they rescued all 6 dogs and 10 cats indoors and managed to escape from the building together.

This is Keith Walker, a 53-year-old homeless man.

Walker, who has been living on the street since the age of 13, had a special relationship with this animal shelter.

Mr. Walker had a dog named'Bravo', who had been with him for a long time. Even if he was sleeping outdoors, Bravo often left Bravo to shelters because he wanted to rest in a warm place.

On the day of the incident, Mr. Walker, who was on the way to pick up Bravo, saw smoke rising from the shelter and went in to rescue the animals without hesitation.

"It was really scary to go inside a smoke-filled building," said Walker. "He expressed his feelings at the time.

Shelter founder Gracie Hamlin said, "I still can't believe I've saved all the animals from the flames. Mr. Walker is the guardian angel of me and the animals."

In response, netizens said, "Heroes like Mr. Walker deserve a better life," and raised online fundraising, and in just one day, 26,000 dollars (about 28 million won) gathered to add warmth.
