M5S senators did not participate in the vote.
All the groups present (Pd, Iv, Lega and FI) voted in favor.
The Five Star movement therefore did not participate in the vote on the opinion on the planning contract on the cross-border section of the Turin-Lyon Tav, which is being examined by the public works commission of the Senate.
The opinion was nevertheless approved: all the other groups, including the opposition Lega and FI voted in favor, while FdI and Leu were not present at the session.
Even in the Transport Committee in the Chamber, the M5s had left the hall at the time of the vote.
The votes cast in the Commission were all in favor.
Senator Gregorio de Falco (Mixed) also voted in favor.
The M5S senators left the Chamber of the Commission, except, for institutional duty, the president Mauro Coltorti who did not participate in the vote anyway.
Beyond the general position of opposition to the TAV, specifically the M5S group justified its position by presenting a voting statement highlighting the "innumerable criticalities" of the program contract scheme as well as the need for a " adequate prior information "before its subscription, of the interested parties and of the citizens, in particular" regarding the capacity of the infrastructure, the methods and timing of implementation and financing, the costs for businesses, users and consumers ".
