Weather. Orange alert due to strong winds and waves in the Valencian Community
More than half of Spain continues on Monday on alert for the
storm Bella
, which will leave strong gusts of
winds
close to 100 kilometers per hour, intense
rainfall
in the extreme north of the peninsula and
waves
of 10 meters high on the Cantabrian coast, where it has been red warning activated.
Asturias, the Basque Country, Cantabria and Galicia have activated the
red alert
(extreme risk) on the coastline by sea combined from the northwest with waves that will reach between eight and 10 meters in height, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) on its page Web.
In these communities, Asturias and Cantabria also maintain
a yellow level
(risk) due to snowfalls of 15 centimeters in 24 hours in points of the Picos de Europa and the mountain range, and Liébana respectively;
In Galicia there is a yellow warning also for snow in areas of the interior of Lugo and Ourense.
Regarding the wind, the entire Cantabrian coast is with
an orange alert
(important risk) due to strong and persistent gusts of wind that will oscillate between 90 and 110 kilometers per hour.
In the rest of Spain, Andalusia continues with an orange warning in the provinces of
Malaga
and
Almería
due to gusts of wind from the west and southwest force seven to eight, occasionally nine, especially in the south of Almería, with waves of three to five meters;
in Cádiz, Jaén and Málaga there is a yellow warning for adverse coastal phenomena.
Aragon is at an orange level due to snowfalls 20 centimeters thick in 24 hours at an elevation close to 600 meters in the Pyrenees, and a yellow alert in the rest of the community for winds close to 90 kilometers per hour.
In Castilla-La Mancha the orange warning has been activated in the province of Albacete for maximum gusts of
90 kilometers per hour
;
in the provinces of Cuenca and Guadalajara the yellow level persists due to wind or snowfall.
In the Mediterranean, the Valencian Community, the Murcia Region, the Balares Islands, Ceuta and Melilla continue with an
orange
or yellow
warning
due to rough seas and gusts of wind between 70 and 90 kilometers per hour;
Aemet warns that in the Balearic Islands the waves can reach four to five meters and even an individual wave could rise up to eight or nine meters.
Castilla y León, Cataluña, Navarra, Comunidad de Madrid and La Rioja continue with the
yellow alert
due to snow, waves or strong gusts of wind.
Aemet warns that with the
red alert
the meteorological risk is extreme with unusual meteorological phenomena of exceptional intensity and with a very high level of risk for the population, and with the orange there is significant risk in meteorological phenomena with a certain degree of danger for the usual activities.
