Oberstdorf (dpa) - A return of the Polish ski jumpers to the second Four Hills Tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is completely open.

This was said by General Secretary Florian Stern in a specially convened video session on Monday in Oberstdorf.

The entire Polish team around Dawid Kubacki and Kamil Stoch had previously been withdrawn from the competition for the opening competition after colleague Klemens Muranka tested positive for the corona virus.

First of all, it is crucial whether the team is released from quarantine.

Only then can the local authorities in Garmisch make a new decision for the second competition.

Since Christmas, 760 PCR tests had been carried out around the Four Hills Tournament - four of them were positive.

Among them is a German physiotherapist who has already left and, according to the association, had no contact with the ski jumping team.

Even further negative test results do not change the exclusion of the Poles for the start in the Allgäu, as Stern assured.
