Liederbach (dpa / lhe) - Two people were injured in a fire in a high-rise building in Liederbach (Main-Taunus district).

A total of more than 100 residents had to be rescued from the building, said a police spokesman on Monday morning.

On Sunday evening there was a fire in one of the apartments in the apartment building.

Firefighters evacuated the building.

The approximately 100 residents were housed in a sports hall.

According to the police spokesman, the fire has now been extinguished and the residents have been able to return to their apartments.

It is being investigated for negligent arson.
