Oberstdorf (dpa) - We can start!

The 69th Four Hills Tournament begins this Monday (4.30 p.m. / ZDF and Eurosport).

Initially, the first qualification is on the program in Oberstdorf im Allgäu.

Yellow carrier Halvor Egner Granerud is the top favorite, who recently won jumping after jumping.

But the high-flyer from Norway has a lot of competition on the four ski jumps in Oberstdorf, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Innsbruck and Bischofshofen.

Overall ranks 42, 20, 15 and 61 - the past four World Cup winters have been very mixed for Granerud.

Now the Norwegian is suddenly world class and comes to Oberstdorf with the recommendation of five wins in a row.

"What makes him better now is the negative experience he has," said his trainer Alexander Stoeckl.

Granerud is "a very intelligent fellow".

His biggest trump card is currently the constancy.

MARKUS EISENBICHLER (GERMANY / 29)

Victory or coffin!

Cup or hospital!

Eisenbichler became known with such martial mottos.

The enterprising Bavarian is currently Germany's best ski jumper and would like to improve his second place on the tour two years ago.

«Yes, my tour is a tour.

If I do my stuff, I know that I can beat him too, ”Eisenbichler said of Granerud.

KAMIL STOCH (POLAND / 33)

Stoch has already won the Four Hills Tournament twice, and in 2017/18 he even managed to win on all four hills.

Just in time for the tour, the veteran was again a top 10 guarantor.

His former coach, today's national trainer Stefan Horngacher, predicts: “He is on the way up.

He'll play a pretty big role on the tour. "

DAWID KUBACKI (POLAND / 30)

The defending champion is traditionally one of the hottest candidates on the tour.

Kubacki, who is also the individual world champion, is responsible for the four systems.

This winter, however, the Pole has not yet achieved the best individual results.

STEFAN KRAFT (AUSTRIA / 27)

How fit is the overall World Cup winner?

Kraft leads the contingent of Austrians around a month after his positive Corona test.

In what condition Kraft is after back problems and its corona course with symptoms is completely open.

KARL GEIGER (GERMANY / 27)

First ski flying world champion, then father of a little daughter - and suddenly tested positive for the corona virus.

Geiger has had extremely turbulent weeks.

If he is allowed to return on time for the start of the tour in his home town of Oberstdorf, he is the top candidate for a surprise.

National coach Horngacher had Geiger before his infection as a hot winner tip for the golden eagle on the slip.
