After strong social movements, the Uber Eats delivery men in Saint-Etienne obtained minimum remuneration.
It is set "at 10 euros between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and 12 euros between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., provided that you have completed at least two races within the hour and that an acceptance rate of proposed orders of 85% is reached" .
Meal deliverers working for Uber Eats in Saint-Etienne have obtained an improvement in their working conditions, including a minimum hourly rate under conditions, after a few well-attended strikes, several of their representatives said on Sunday.
A minimum hourly between 11:30 a.m. and 9 p.m.
"Since Monday, Uber Eats applies to Saint-Etienne a minimum remuneration of 10 euros between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and of 12 euros between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., provided they have completed at least two races in the hour and reached acceptance of proposed orders of 85% ", told AFP Pierre, one of the spokespersons of the movement, who refuses to give his last name.
"To our knowledge, we are the only city in France where they have put this system in place, following the strong mobilization of most of the 200 delivery men who work there for this platform on December 13 and 18," a he specified.
According to him, "a rain premium, lower than that which existed before the first confinement, has just been restored, up to one euro per order".

"What we have obtained is very insufficient"
The agreement does not apply to other meal delivery platforms like Deliveroo.
"What we have obtained is very insufficient. We also need a minimum remuneration for the other times of the day during which we work," responded Junior, another courier.
"New actions will take place after the holidays. They may target in particular other platforms, such as Deliveroo which has not budged and has not even contacted us," he warns.
Contacted by AFP, the regional management of Uber Eats was not reachable on Sunday.
