Potsdam (dpa / bb) - After the delivery of almost ten thousand vaccination doses, vaccinations against the corona virus are to begin today (11 a.m.) in Brandenburg.
The first to be vaccinated are residents in a nursing home in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district.
On the following days, further campaigns with mobile vaccination teams are planned in facilities in the Havelland district and in Cottbus, as the Ministry of Health reported.
From Tuesday onwards, the employees in the hospitals will also be vaccinated against the corona virus.
Two vaccination centers in Potsdam and Cottbus will start on January 5th.
On Saturday the first delivery with 9,750 vaccination doses arrived in Brandenburg under the protection of the federal police. For security reasons, the vaccine is kept in a secret location by Biontech and Pfizer. According to the interior ministry, further deliveries with a total of around 30,000 vaccine doses are expected by the end of the year.
