"We didn't choose the concrete cancer finding. This renovation is necessary. It is better for the Gigafactory to do it as soon as possible," said Beermann. Despite the many employees and the delivery trucks, the minister does not see any traffic collapse coming.
"The traffic around the Gigafactory will not collapse, either at the beginning or later," said Beermann, according to the newspaper. The location already has excellent connections, directly on the motorway and with the nearby rail link Berlin-Frankfurt / Oder-Poland. In January, the construction of a new temporary motorway access will begin. Regional Express 1 will play a key role in rush hour traffic. There are also considerations to build a bicycle route from Erkner to the Gigafactory. "That is also a wish from Tesla, we support it," Beermann is quoted as saying.
