Dubai Health begins to vaccinate Dubai government employees with the "Pfizer" vaccine today

Today, the Dubai Health Authority began vaccinating Dubai government employees in priority groups against the Corona virus using the Pfizer vaccine, after restricting all Dubai government agencies, departments and institutions working for it, in specific categories, based on an official letter addressed to it from Before the Dubai Health Authority last week.

In an official letter it addressed to all general managers and executives in Dubai government institutions and departments, Dubai Health demanded that its employees be restricted to categories that include senior citizens, elderly residents, people with chronic diseases, those affiliated with the first line of defense, and vital jobs.

The authority stressed the need to provide it with lists containing the names of employees in the specified categories, including his name, job number, job position, and national identity card number, to be included in the vaccination schedule.

The authority has set several conditions that must be observed during the determination of the employees who will receive the vaccine, including the need to be within the specified categories, that the candidate for vaccination does not have immunological diseases, or has previously been infected with the Corona virus during the last three months, or has previously taken the vaccination against Covid-19, Also, the candidate should not be a remote employee.

The authority stated that this step comes within the directions of the Dubai government and its keenness to provide the best levels of health security for all members of society.

She emphasized that the vaccination, which will be given in two separate doses, does not incur any financial cost, nor is it mandatory.

Last week, the Dubai Health Authority began a campaign of vaccination with the "Pfizer" vaccine against "Covid-19", in coordination with the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai, and the Control and Control Center to combat the Corona virus.

The authority has prepared a detailed plan for vaccination steps and mechanisms, and the target groups from the first phase that started yesterday, following the approval of the vaccine by the US Food and Drug Administration, and its registration by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection in the UAE.

Dubai Health emphasized that providing the vaccine represents an important step in the course of confronting the "Covid-19" pandemic, and limiting its spread, but it does not mean dispensing with following preventive measures and precautionary measures that constitute the most important guarantee in besieging the virus, and avoiding its transmission between members of society, stressing the need for Society continues to apply the recommended precautionary measures, including the use of masks, and the maintenance of social distancing, even on the part of those who have been vaccinated, to ensure the highest levels of safety for all.
