Frankfurt / Main / Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - A Frankfurt intensive care nurse was one of the first people in Hesse to be vaccinated against the corona virus on Sunday.

Zeynep Kallmayer works at the Frankfurt University Clinic - "a nurse who has been the first to care for people suffering from Covid-19 since the beginning of the corona pandemic in Hesse," as the clinic announced.

The 50-year-old got the protective spades on Sunday morning.

The first around 10,000 vaccine doses were delivered to Hessen on Saturday.

The Frankfurt University Clinic, one of the focus centers for Covid-19 patients in Hesse, received 150 of them.
