Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - The first corona vaccinations began in Magdeburg on Sunday morning.
Three mobile vaccination teams started shortly before 9.00 a.m. to vaccinate residents of a municipal nursing home in the north of the state capital, as Matthias Boxhorn, organizational director of the Johanniter regional association Magdeburg / Börde / Harz, said.
Around 120 seniors and around 60 employees wanted to be immunized.
Nationwide and nationwide, the corona vaccinations should start on Sunday.
In Halberstadt, residents of a senior center were vaccinated prematurely on Saturday, including a 101-year-old.
In Saxony-Anhalt, a total of 9750 vaccine doses are available after the first delivery on Saturday. They are intended for nursing home residents and the staff there, as well as for hospital staff at particularly high risk.
