Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - In a fire in Frankfurt, the fire brigade rescued two adults and three children from an apartment on the fourth floor.
A smoke detector had triggered the alarm on Sunday night, as the fire brigade announced.
Thereupon emergency services rushed to the residential building in the Sachsenhausen district, started fighting the fire and brought the five people to safety.
The cause of fire was unclear for the moment.
The fire brigade put the amount of damage at around 40,000 euros.
Fire and rescue services were on duty with seven vehicles and 22 men until morning.
