With the advent of the mutant virus, the highest level of quarantine regulations has been expanded in the UK, where the spread of Corona 19 is going out of control.

The British government today (26th) imposed an additional step 4 countermeasure in eastern and southeast England, including Sussex, Oxfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk, the highest level of action.

As a result, as many as 24 million people, or 40% of England's population, are virtually trapped at home.

All residents must stay at home, except when working from home is not possible and for purposes such as school, childcare, and sports.

No one is allowed to enter the regulated areas and residents are not allowed to leave their homes overnight.

Stores, gymnasiums, and beauty salons, which are non-essential industries, are all banned and only one other household member can meet in public places.

Scotland and Northern Ireland also launched new containment measures today, and in Wales, relaxed quarantine regulations have been restored for Christmas.

In the UK, there are more than 30,000 new cases a day in recent years.

The cumulative confirmed cases exceeded 2.22 million and the cumulative death toll exceeded 70,000.
