The
Community of Madrid will
confine four new
Basic Health Zones on the
perimeter due
to the increase in cases registered in them in recent days.
In all these areas, there are more
than 400 cases
per 100,000 inhabitants.
This is how the Minister of Health of the Community of Madrid, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, the Deputy Minister of Public Health and the COVID-19 Plan, Antonio Zapatero, and the General Director of Public Health, Elena Andradas, reported at the press conference where weekly they take
stock of the epidemiological situation
in the region.
The areas where mobility will be restricted from next Monday, January 11, are: in the capital Madrid, the
Aravaca
basic health area
(Moncloa-Aravaca district) and
General Moscardó
(Tetuán).
In the rest of the region, the Reyes Católicos and V Centenario (
San Sebastián de los Reyes
) areas.
In addition to these areas,
currently and until next January 4
, Andrés Mellado (Chamberí) and Sanchinarro (Hortaleza)
are confined
to the capital Madrid and, in the rest of the community, Felipe II and Mayor Bartolomé González (Móstoles) and Getafe North (Getafe) and La Moraleja (Alcobendas).
The regional government makes an
exception in these areas for the Christmas holidays
.
On December 31 and January 1 and 6 you can leave them to celebrate with the family.
