“The Japanese government welcomes the completion of negotiations between the UK and the EU during the transition period, for which both sides have made great efforts.

We also welcome the fact that we managed to avoid the introduction of tariffs between the UK and the EU, which could have a serious impact on the international economy, ”said the Foreign Minister.

Motegi stressed that the Japanese government remains committed to further strengthening relations with the EU and the UK through joint agreements, including an economic partnership agreement.

Earlier it was reported that the UK and EU negotiators were able to agree on a trade deal on Brexit.

Vladimir Schweitzer, head of the department of social and political research at the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, commented in an interview with RT on the message about the deal between the EU and Britain.
