Chinanews, December 25. According to Russian Satellite Network, Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falikov stated that due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, more than 60% of students in Russian universities are studying remotely.

Falikov said in an interview with "Russia 1" TV station: "At present, 64% of Russian university students are studying remotely, about 3 million."

He added that about 900,000 students continue to live in university dormitories.

Falikov pointed out that about one-third of foreign students cannot return to Russia to continue their studies.

He also stated that it would not make sense for them to return to Russia during the period when colleges and universities switched to remote office mode.
