The explosion took place early this Friday morning.

What is known at the moment is that police received a call at 6:30 a.m. local time reporting a suspicious vehicle or even gunfire in downtown Nashville.

When the police arrived on the scene, they did notice a suspicious 4x4, they called the demining teams.

While these teams were still on their way, the vehicle exploded.

Three people were slightly injured.

But the explosion was very powerful.

It was felt over several blocks.

Several buildings were damaged, windows blown.

And the broadcast footage shows a half-devastated street.

No track is advanced

The authorities speak of a premeditated act, but no lead is put forward.

What you should know is that this street is home to hotels, restaurants, and theaters are not far away.

But on this Christmas morning, everything was closed and the streets were deserted when the explosion occurred.

The FBI has said it is sending teams there.

Which does not necessarily mean that it is terrorism, specify the authorities, it is above all a question of the means deployed.

Investigators will likely sift through all the CCTV cameras to try and figure out what exactly happened.
