The document says that the owner of a website or information resource, as well as a hosting provider, will face a fine of 50 thousand to 100 thousand rubles for a corresponding violation.

At the same time, officials can be fined from 200 thousand to 400 thousand rubles, and legal entities - from 800 thousand rubles to 4 million rubles.

In July, it became known that a draft was submitted to the State Duma on penalties for sites refusing to delete information.

The explanatory note to the project noted that YouTube “contrary to the requirements of Roskomnadzor, by April 2020” did not delete 10,482 pages with prohibited information, Twitter - 1,462 URLs, Instagram - 1,435 URLs, Facebook - 362 URLs.
