The UK and the European Union (EU) successfully settled a deal a week ahead of the deadline for so-called Post Brexit negotiations, which stipulated future relations such as trade agreements.

EU Commissioner Von der Lyen made this statement, saying that it has agreed to continue cooperation with the UK in all areas.

British Prime Minister Johnson said the deal has regained control of finances, borders, law, commerce and waters. "It's fantastic news for families and businesses across the UK."

As a result, the UK, which decided to withdraw from the EU through a referendum in June 2016, will be completely separated from the EU in four and a half years.
