Erfurt (dpa / th) - The strict anti-corona rules in Thuringia have so far not caused a decrease in the number of infections.

On Christmas Eve, the so-called seven-day incidence was 327.8 - and thus again higher than the previous day (around 319.5), as shown by figures from the Thuringian Ministry of Health on Thursday.

Thuringia remains the second most severely affected state in the corona pandemic in Germany after Saxony.

Within one day, 1348 new infections were recorded by Thursday.

Thuringia's Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left) reacted with concern to the short message service Twitter: "The numbers are far too high," wrote Ramelow on Thursday and urged the Thuringians to keep their distance, to observe the hygiene rules and to wear an everyday mask. «Ventilate when several people come together and keep your distance. The virus has no break. Fewer people - this time more security for everyone! Just stay negative! ”Wrote Ramelow.
