Berlin (dpa / bb) - In Berlin-Pankow, a car burned on Thursday night.

The police said no one was injured.

A resident noticed the burning vehicle on Kissingenplatz and called the rescue workers.

Two other cars parked nearby were slightly damaged by the fire.

The police suspect arson.

According to the police, 374 vehicles were directly set on fire in 332 arson attacks this year by early December.

That was about as many as in 2019, when 343 arson attacks on 362 vehicles were counted.

Another as yet unknown number of cars that were near the source of the fire were damaged by the fire.
