Werder Bremen in Hanover in the short term without two defenders

Hannover (AP) - Before the DFB Cup game between Hannover 96 and Werder Bremen, both coaches have to change their teams at short notice.

At Werder, the two defenders Ömer Toprak (hit on the Achilles tendon) and Marco Friedl (thigh problems) fell out on Wednesday evening (8.45 p.m. / Sky).

For them, captain Niklas Moisander and Milos Veljkovic are used in this north duel.

At second division Hannover goalkeeper Michael Esser and left-back Niklas Hult were no longer fit in time for the whistle in the HDI Arena.
