The Donald Trump administration announced that it would secure an additional 100 million doses (for 50 million people) of the US pharmaceutical company Pfizer's Corona 19 vaccine and supply it by the end of July next year.

The US Department of Defense released a press release and said, "The Trump administration will purchase an additional 100 million doses of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine through the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Department of Defense."

“According to the agreement, Pfizer will provide at least 70 million servings by June 30 next year, and 100 million servings by the end of July.”

The Trump administration has already secured 100 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine and is now vaccinated.

Reuters reported that the amount paid by the Trump administration to Pfizer amounts to about $4 billion (4.4 trillion won), including $1.95 billion (2.15 trillion won) for this additional contract.

The Pfizer vaccine had to be hit twice, so the 200 million doses secured by the Trump administration are for 100 million people.

The news agency cited statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and said more than 600,000 Americans had been vaccinated by the 21st.

Pfizer developed a vaccine jointly with Bioentech, Germany, and vaccination began on the 14th after emergency approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
